Day 1 L

We depart 0730 from the Pier Street Perth coach bay on the corner of Hay Street and travel to New Norcia and Wubin. On past Mt Singleton, through Paynes Find and wildflowers to our accommodation at Kirkalocka Station or Mount Magnet.

Day 2 BLD

We show you all around this area including the old ghost town of Big Bell, the unusual Walga Rock with its rock paintings and the interesting mine area of Daydawn. Accommodation at Nallen Station or Cue.

Day 3 BLD

Into Meekatharra, then west over the Murchison River to Mt Gould to see the old gaol in this isolated area. Past Errabiddy Station, over the Gascoyne River and on past Landor to the Aboriginal settlement of Jilgoo. Then to Mt Augustus where we overnight.

Day 4 BLD

Today is devoted almost entirely to Mt Augustus to see the valleys and Aboriginal paintings or to climb if you wish. Also see Cattle Pool surrounded by large river gums - a beautiful spot on the Lyons River. Accommodation at Mt Augustus again.

Day 5 BLD

We leave Mt Augustus and travel through Cobra, Mt Philip, Mooloo Downs and Dairy Creek Stations.Then west to Gascoyne Junction where we head south west to Wooramel Roadhouse, past Overlander to overnight at Nerren Nerren Station.

Day 6 B

We continue south today over the Murchison River, through Geraldton and Dongara, then follow the New Coast Road past crayfishermen’s beach shacks to Leeman, Greenhead and the picturesque Dynamite Bay, before heading back on the Brand Highway to Perth.

Please bring sleeping bag, blanket and pillow.
