Day 1 Fri


We depart 6pm from the Pier Street Perth coach rank on the corner of Hay Street. Please have your evening meal, although we do stop at Merredin for a cuppa and snack. We arrive at our accommodation approximately 11pm.

Day 2 Sat


Through the largest desert forest of Salmon Gums in the world to Norseman and Balladonia. After the rains the country blooms. Enjoy the view from Madura Pass looking over the coastal lowlands. Our accommodation is in units at Eucla.

Day 3 Sun


A magic day as we travel through wombat country to the 100 metre Cliffs of the Bight. We often see whales, dolphins, sharks or seals. See the valley of windmills as we pass through South Australian wheat country. Our accommodation is in units in caravan park or Wirrulla Hotel.

Day 4 Mon


Today we wind through lake country. Kangaroos, emu and birdlife are usually abundant. Through the semi - ghost town of Kingoonya on the transline, then, due north to get onto the Stuart Highway to Coober Pedy, home of the opal. Accommodation Umoona Opal Cave.

Day 5 Tues


From Coober Pedy we head north to the Northern Territory border and into Noel Fullertonís camel farm. Some humour as some go for a ride. Our accommodation tonight is in units at Heavy Tree Gap Caravan Park, Alice Springs.

Day 6 Wed


Along the Todd River to show you the town centre and mall, then up Anzac Hill lookout to view the whole area of the city and the majestic MacDonnell Ranges. Next is the old Telegraph Station where Alice Springs started. Then, a run out to Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm. We return via Honeymoon Gap to Alice to see Panorama Guth - a magnificent painting of all the major landmarks around the centre of Australia. Not to be missed. The rest of the day to do some personal shopping. Same accommodation.

Day 7 Thurs


An early start to get to Ayers Rock for lunch, then there is plenty of time for a climb to the top. We also show you the caves, pools and Aboriginal paintings around the base of the Rock. Our accommodation is at Yulara in quad share units or if booked out, we use tents and matresses in caravan park.

Day 8 Fri


We visit the Olgas made up of an unusual conglomerate of river stones and sand. West now to the desert oak forests to Lasseterís Cave and Docker River. We see Warrakurna - Giles Weather Station - then on to our accommodation at Warburton. Units.

Day 9 Sat


We see Gnamma holes and caves at Peagul, breakaways, desert gums and camels on most tours to Laverton Downs Station where we spend our last night in accommodation.

Day 10 Sun


Our last day as we travel to Leonora, Kalgoorlie and back to our departure point arriving approximately 8pm.

Due to the limited accommodation on this tour, it is mostly twin share, but there are times when we have to use some triple and quad share. Please bring sleeping bag, blanket and pillow.

Bookings can be made by emailing, or contacting us by phone, letter or personally. A 10% deposit per person confirms a booking. The full fare is payable one month before departure date. Bookings made within one month of departure require full fare.
