Except one night on the Gibson Desert, one on the Tanami Desert and one at Windjana Gorge where we will have to use tents

Day 1 LD

Depart 7.30am from the Pier Street Perth coach bay on the corner of Hay Street, out to Merredin for lunch, then onto Coolgardie.

Day 2 BLD

A tour of Kalgoorlie, then north through the goldfields to Broad Arrow and Leonora. Onto accommodation at Laverton Downs Station.

Day 3 BLD

Across the desert to the native settlement of Warburton, seeing Gnama holes and rock paintings and onto the Gunbarrel Highway to Giles and the Petermann Ranges. Accommodation at Warburton or Giles.

Day 4 BL

Into the Northern Territory and Docker River Settlement, then onto the Olgas. After lunch we go to Ayers Rock; there is time for the fit to climb to the top and also see the pools and cave paintings. Quad share accommodation or tents at Yulara or Curtin Springs.

Day 5 BL

Past majestic Mt Connor to the Stuart Highway and more desert oak forest, north to Alice Springs set just through Heavy Tree Gap in the Mcdonnell Ranges. Accommodation.

Day 6 BL

A tour out to the West Mcdonnell Ranges to Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm, then a visit to Panorama Guth back in Alice. Same accommodation.

Day 7 BLD

After picking up stores in town, we head for the Tanami Desert past mountain ranges and mulga country, past Rabbit Flats Roadhouse. Tents. There is no accommodation on the Tanami Desert.

Day 8 BL

Across the border into W.A. and see the mammoth Wolf Creek Crater formed by a massive meteorite. Back onto sealed roads as we call into Halls Creek. Here we arrange for some to have a flight over the Bungle Bungles, a magnificent sight of colour and landscaped domes (not included in fare). Accommodation.

Day 9 BLD

Today included in the fare is a very informative boat tour along one of W.As most scenic gorges - Geiki - on the Fitzroy River to see freshwater crocodiles and wildlife on the banks. Accommodation is very limited here. We may have to use tents on some tours.

Day 10 BLD

We go into the heart of the Kimberleys as we visit Tunnel Creek that goes for a kilometre through the Napier Range, then the magnificent Windjana Gorge. This will remain in your memory for life. Tents in Caravan Park.

Day 11 BL

After a look into Derby and a visit to the Prison Boab Tree, we travel through spectacular Boab and anthill country to Broome. Accommodation.

Day 12 BL

We spend most of our day at Cable Beach and still see all the major attractions of Broome. Accommodation.

Day 13 BLD

South now as we cross the Roebuck Plains to Sandfire on the 80 Mile Beach, over the De Grey River to Port Hedland. Accommodation at Auski.

Day 14 BLD

Out to Fortescue Falls in Dales Gorge, then through some very mountainous country to Newman.

Day 15 BLD

Across the Tropic of Capricorn and the ghost gum country of the Upper Gascoyne to Meekatharra, Cue and Mt Magnet. Accommodation at Nallen or Kirkalokka Sheep Station.

Day 16 B

Onto Paynes Find past Mt Singleton to the wheatbelt at Wubin and through New Norcia to arrive home at approximately 5.30pm.

You need to bring sleeping bag, blanket and pillow and your personal necessities.

Tents and mattresses are carried on this tour for the 2-3 nights that it is necessary to use them.

Due to the isolation of places on this tour, we reserve the right to use tents in caravan parks if accommodation is not available.

Bookings can be made by emailing, or contacting us by phone, letter or personally. A 10% deposit per person confirms a booking. The full fare is payable one month before departure date. Bookings made within one month of departure require full fare.
